Aji Santa Cruz Pepper
Blue Dasher Dragonfly
This Blue Dasher, also known as a Pachydiplax Longipennis, is a dragonfly that comes from the Skimmer family. If any entomologist happen to be perusing, I am aware this could be a Western Pondhawk. However, the thorax seems to confirm the Blue Dasher? Either way, would like it properly labeled.
Females and immature males are greenish on the face and thorax, with a brownish black abdomen marked along the top with two parallel lines of pale yellow to yellowish green dashes. Mature males are greenish on the face and thorax but the abdomen is pruinose blue. The wings are mostly clear but may be clouded with brownish yellow at the bases, especially on the hindwings. 1
Costa Rican Yellow Rocoto Pepper
Type: Capsicum Pubescens
In the words of Uncle Jessie, “Have Mercy.” Forget everything you know about underground peps because your life is about to be turned upside down. This is the Costa Rican Yellow Rocoto and it’s the best pepper we’ve ever had, hands down. Allow me to explain.
Southern Black Racer Snake (Snakes on a Plant)
I had a Garden of Eden thing going on this morning. Here’s a Southern Black Racer Snake relaxing on one of my Cheiro Roxa plants, a capsicum chinense with awesome flavor.
I got a little too close to the plant before I noticed it. These snakes are not poisonous, but can be aggressive if threatened. Luckily, this one was very chillwave. Might have just been before it’s morning coffee.

Aji Verde Pepper

Capsicum Baccatum
Bolivia, Colombia, and Peru
One of the more popular baccatum peppers–these boys are very popular in Peru. Definitely a great introduction into the capsicum baccatum family since the pleasant and subdued flavor isn’t overwhelming.
Similar to the Aji Santa Cruz with the addition of a nice heat. Almost identical to the Aji Amarillo, with some sites calling it the same pepper. However, the difference seems to be this one ripens to a red instead of a dark orange like the Aji Amarillo. In addition, they also have different PI numbers.
These are perfect for those long drives down SR 1. Generally harvested when green for salsa, and absolutely delicious. Stay tuned for more updates on this fantastic pep.

Bhut Orange Copenhagen Pepper
First time reviewing a ghost pepper on this underground pepper blog™. Also called BOC. Fairly underground. This pepper from Denmark means business. And by means business, I mean this orange bastard is ridiculously spicy. And tropically fruity! Has a great flavor for a ghost pepper.
Jamy Pepper
One of the best peppers you will have the pleasure of running into. Baccatum champion in the taste category and also ranks highly on the most underground peppers list.
Aji Omnicolor Pepper
Type: Capsicum Baccatum
Home: Peru
The Aji Omnicolor is quite a nice yung pep which has seemed to grow in popularity over the years. Let me tell you why. This little jerkface goes through the colors purple, palewave yellow, then orange, and finally settling on red, which is quite neat. They apparently have different flavors at every color as well.
